From a tap mixer to a full bathroom order, we match the freight to the product.
The Bathroom Society delivers across Australia using parcel, courier, supplier-direct and specialist freight services. Delivery cost and timing depend on your postcode, product size and weight, stock location, supplier lead time and whether specialist handling is required.
Delivery cost
Use the delivery calculator on the product page, cart or checkout to see the current delivery cost for your postcode and products. The cart/checkout calculation should be treated as the most accurate estimate for your order.
Where your order may ship from
Our online-first model uses a mix of our own distribution arrangements and trusted supplier/brand fulfilment locations. This allows us to offer a much wider range without forcing every product through one warehouse. As a result, a multi-brand order may be consolidated or arrive in separate shipments depending on stock location and freight efficiency.
Delivery timeframes
Each product can have a different lead time. Product pages and order communications will show the best current information available. Common fulfilment types include:
-
Ready to dispatch / in-stock products — available for faster dispatch from the relevant stock location.
-
Standard supplier-stock products — sourced from the supplier or brand before dispatch.
-
Made-to-order or configured products — manufactured or prepared specifically for the order and subject to the lead time shown for that product.
-
Backordered products — supplied when the next confirmed stock becomes available.
Lead times are estimates and can change because of supplier availability, freight networks, regional access, peak sale periods and circumstances outside our reasonable control. Do not book trades based only on an estimated delivery date. Wait until the goods are on site, inspected and confirmed complete.
Split deliveries
Orders containing products from different brands, stock locations or lead-time groups may arrive in more than one shipment. Tracking or delivery information will be provided separately where available. If you need products held for consolidation or require a specific delivery arrangement, contact Customer Care before fulfilment and we will confirm what is possible and whether extra freight charges apply.
Bulky and fragile products
Baths, vanities, toilets, basins, mirrors, shower screens and other large or fragile products may travel by pallet or specialist freight. Standard freight generally means delivery to a safe, accessible ground-level point at or near the property entrance. It does not automatically include carrying products through the home, up stairs, into lifts, unpacking, installation or rubbish removal.
For heavy products, the carrier may require a person on site to assist. Make sure suitable help is available when required.
Access and remote locations
Tell us before dispatch if the delivery address has restricted access, a steep or narrow driveway, stairs, security access, loading restrictions, limited truck access or other conditions that could affect delivery. Additional waiting, redelivery, tail-lift, depot or specialised-access charges may apply where the carrier cannot complete delivery under the quoted service.
For some regional and remote destinations, delivery may be made to the nearest available freight depot or service point rather than directly to the property. We will advise where this applies.
Authority to leave
Where an order is delivered under an authority-to-leave instruction, the carrier may leave the goods at the agreed location without a signature. Once delivery has been recorded at the nominated location, responsibility for subsequent loss or damage may pass to the receiver, subject to any rights that apply by law.
Inspect your delivery
Inspect cartons and products as soon as practical after delivery. If there is visible damage, photograph the packaging before moving or opening it, then photograph the product and labels. Keep all packaging until you have confirmed the order is correct and undamaged.
Please report visible transit damage, shortages or incorrect products promptly — ideally within 48 hours — because early reporting helps us investigate with the freight provider. This requested reporting period does not remove rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Missed delivery and redelivery
If a delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available when attendance is required, access is unsuitable or information provided for the delivery is incorrect, the carrier may charge redelivery, waiting-time or depot fees. Any applicable third-party charges may be passed on at cost.
